Once upon a time there was a truly happy boy. He was the only truly happy person in the world. One day, however, he had an epiphany regarding his own mortality and consequently, the mortality of true happiness itself. He realized that after he was gone, the world would go on. His own world of happiness would end, but the world itself would continue with all of its fear and suffering, just the same as if he had never been. This filled him with great sadness.
